What is it?

Via the [Upload] section on the [Images] tab you can [upload] individual images to either your [Images Folder] or to the current [Skin Folder].

The difference is that any image uploaded to the [Skin] folder will be available for use in the [Skin] of your website. Any image that is uploaded to the [Images Folder] will be available to use in the content/pages of your website.

Tutorial: Embedding Images

Step 1

Login to your CMS area for your site.

Step 2

Via the [Images] tab click the option: [Upload]

Step 3

Select the Upload folder: [Images Folder] and select [Browse..].

Then select an image to be used on your website page. For this example the image is called: butterfly.jpg

butterfly.jpg

Step 4

Once the image has been added to your account, go to the page that you would like to display it on via: [Edit] and then select the relevant page name.

For this example the edit page is called: Home – as I would like the image to be used on the Home page of the site.

Step 5

Now in the edit window, reference your image by using the following command:

{butterfly.jpg}

Once you have inputted the Image code click [Save changes] and then have a look at your website’s Home page.

Please note: you will need to refresh the page of your website to view the changes.

The container { and } is used when referencing your image. The filename is the same as the filename that you uploaded. So if you uploaded an image called: chips123-abc.jpg the code you would use to reference it is:

{chips123-abc.jpg}
