HELP!Engine CodeImage Transparency

What is it?

Image transparency is only available from certain file formats that support the Alpha channel, like .GIF and .PNG files.

By using an alpha channel effectively you are “knocking out” an area of your image so that it will be transparent, usually the background colour.

This method is very similar to the layers concept in popular Image editing software such as: Adobe Photoshop.

The result effect is that you have an image that can be displayed over multiple backgrounds seamlessly without having to resave each image to match the background image changes.
