What is it?

The [Padding] attribute defines the amount of space between the border and the content of an element. Basically it’s a way of defining a custom amount of space (in pixels) around the main components of your website.

Padding is traditionally defined in the form of:

[Padding-Top], [Padding-Right], [Padding-Bottom] and [Padding-Left].

Current Skin

Displays the current [Skin] that your website is using. Any changes to the [Padding] will be saved under this [Skin] name.

Padding Definitions

[TOP] = The [Top] side of the specified area will be affected by the [Padding] changes

[RIGHT] = The [Right] side of the specified area will be affected by the [Padding] changes

[BOTTOM] = The [Bottom] side of the specified area will be affected by the [Padding] changes

[LEFT] = The [Left] side of the specified area will be affected by the [Padding] changes

Page

In the fields provided you can set the [Padding] attributes for the [Page] of your website. Changes to the [Page Padding] will effect the positioning of the overall website. i.e. If you set the [Padding] to be 50px in the fields marked [Top], [Right], [Bottom] and [Left], the entire website will begin 50 pixels in from the top of your browser, 50 pixels in from the right hand side of the browser etc

After you have selected your [Page Padding], click the [Submit] button to confirm your choices and [Save] your changes.

Frame

In the fields provided you can set the [Padding] attributes for the [Frame] of your website. Changes to the [Frame Padding] will affect the framing border of the overall website. i.e. If you set the [Padding] to be 10px in the fields marked [Top], [Right], [Bottom] and [Left], the entire website frame will be framed by a 10 pixel border.

After you have selected your [Frame Padding], click the [Submit] button to confirm your choices and [Save] your changes.

Canvas

In the fields provided you can set the [Padding] attributes for the [Canvas] of your website. Changes to the [Canvas Padding] will effect the spacing between the [Frame] (or edge of your website) and the inner elements of the overall website. The [Canvas Padding] can be considered as a 2nd [Frame].

After you have selected your [Canvas Padding], click the [Submit] button to confirm your choices and [Save] your changes.

Header

In the fields provided you can set the [Padding] attributes for the [Header] of your website. Changes to the [Header Padding] will effect the spacing inside the [Header] of your website. i.e. If you have a [Logo] displayed inside your [Header] you can adjust the amount of space that surrounds it.

After you have selected your [Header Padding], click the [Submit] button to confirm your choices and [Save] your changes.

Horizontal nav

In the fields provided you can set the [Padding] attributes for the [Horizontal Navigation] of your website. Changes to the [Horizontal Navigation Padding] will affect the spacing around the [Horizontal Navigation] on your website. i.e. If you set the [Left] padding to be 50px the [Horizontal Navigation] will begin 50 pixels from the left hand side of the designated Navigation area.

After you have selected your [Horizontal Navigation Padding], click the [Submit] button to confirm your choices and [Save] your changes.

Vertical nav

In the fields provided you can set the [Padding] attributes for the [Vertical Navigation] of your website. Changes to the [Vertical Navigation Padding] will affect the spacing around the [Vertical Navigation] on your website. i.e. If you set the [Left] padding to be 50px the [Vertical Navigation] will begin 50 pixels from the left hand side of the designated Navigation area.

After you have selected your [Vertical Navigation Padding], click the [Submit] button to confirm your choices and [Save] your changes.

Body

In the fields provided you can set the [Padding] attributes for the [Body] of your website pages. Changes to the [Body Padding] will effect the spacing around the [Body] of each page. i.e. If you set the [Left] padding to be 50px the [Body] will begin 50 pixels from the left hand side edge of the website.

After you have selected your [Body Padding], click the [Submit] button to confirm your choices and [Save] your changes.

Sub-content

In the fields provided you can set the [Padding] attributes for the [Sub-content] of your website. Changes to the [Sub-content Padding] will effect the spacing around the [Sub-content] of your website. i.e. If you set the [Left] padding to be 50px the [Sub-content] will begin 50 pixels from the left hand side edge of the designated [Sub-content] area.

After you have selected your [Sub-content Padding], click the [Submit] button to confirm your choices and [Save] your changes.

Footer

In the fields provided you can set the [Padding] attributes for the [Footer] of your website. Changes to the [Footer Padding] will effect the spacing inside the [Footer] of your website. i.e. If you have some text displayed inside your [Footer] you can adjust the amount of space that surrounds it.

After you have selected your [Footer Padding], click the [Submit] button to confirm your choices and [Save] your changes.
