Text & Internal Links

What is it?

When adding standard text to your website pages you can make the text link to any page on your website – simply and easily using the engine code provided!

Step 1

Click the tab [Edit] to edit your page, locate the “Home” page as this is where we will be adding internal text links.

Step 3

In the edit window, input a new line of text that says:

Click here to visit my contact page

Step 4

Now to make the text Click here into a link to the contacts page, add square brackets [ and ] around the text you would like to make into a link, like this:

[Click here] to visit my contact page

Step 5

Now inside the closing bracket ] add two equals signs ==, like this:

[Click here==] to visit my contact page

And then after the 2 equals == add the page name of your desired location, for instance we will make the text Click here link to the Contact page, the code would look like this:

[Click here==contact] to visit my contact page

Please note: when linking to an internal location you will need to make sure that the page has been made successfully. This can be setup in the Navigation tab of the CMS. Also be careful when renaming pages as this will have a knock on effect to any internal links that you create.

As before, once you have inputted the Text code click [Save changes] and then have a look at your website’s Home page.

Please note: you will need to refresh the page of your website to view the changes.
